ABOUT US
Our mission is to serve the church and community with
Christ-centered, clinically-informed, and compassionate counsel for
Christ-like growth and change.
Christ-centered
Christ-centered means that in our lives and counsel, we place our trust in Christ, the Redeemer, who is our only hope to change our hearts (Jn 14:6; 2 Cor 5:17). Christ is revealed to us through God's inerrant Word and through His Spirit (Jn 14:15-16:16; 2 Cor 3:17-18). Becoming like Christ is His goal for us (Rom 8:29; Eph 5:1-2).
Clinically-informed
We recognize the complexities of being embodied souls and have been impacted by the Fall emotionally, physically, socially, and spiritually (Gen 2:7; Gen 3; Isa.42:5)  We value, through common grace, the descriptive language and studies of clinical care, making us clinically aware, but not clinically dependent.
Compassionate
We understand that we are sinners, sufferers, and saints. We offer God’s encouragement, comfort, and hope for the hurting (Rom 8:17-18; Rom 12:15; 2 Cor 1:3-8), encourage repentance and reconciliation when necessary (Isa 30:15; Acts 3:19; 2 Cor 7:9-10), and do so in love, modeling the compassion of Christ (Jn 3:4; 13:34-35; Heb 4:14-16).

Our Philosophy
We are committed to providing professional, biblically-based counseling to all whom we serve, regardless of sex, race, religion, or sexual preference. We believe that an individual’s emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and interactions are caused by motives that stem directly from the heart. Though the cause of most behaviors come from the heart, we recognize that we are created as spirit and body. Therefore, we recognize that many actions and interactions are influenced by our body chemistry (hormones, deficiencies, nutrition, adrenaline, etc.) as well as our situations and circumstances. It is our desire to provide counseling that is Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and Hope-focused to help clients find peace emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.
We believe that our past influences affect present realities and relationships. We will focus on the heart’s responses to past and present influences and address some of the foundational issues of worth, love, and trust. In Christ-centered counseling, you can expect practical & Biblical directions on how to live by faith, renew the mind, manage emotions, resolve trauma of the past, and pursue peace in relationships.

We Believe...
-
There is one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Jn 10:30, Mt 28:19).
-
Jesus Christ (the Son of God) was born of a virgin (Isa 7:14, Mt 1:23), was sinless (Heb 4:15, 7:26), performed miracles (Jn 2:11), and died on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 Cor 15:3, Eph 1:7, Heb 2:0). Jesus was resurrected (Jn 11:25, 1 Cor 15:4, 1 Pet 1:3-4), ascended into heaven (Mk 16:19), and He will return in his glory and power (Acts 1:11, Rev 19:11).
-
A person becomes justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Rom 3:24-26).
-
The Bible is the infallible, inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:21).
-
The Holy Spirit indwells the lives of believers and regenerates sinful humanity, gives illumination to the Word of God, and convicts people of sin to enable the Christian to live a godly life (Rom 8:9, 13-14; Eph 4:30, 5:18).
-
We believe God creates each human person in His own image at the moment of conception and carefully knits them in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139). We believe He intentionally creates each person in His image with unchanging biological sex, either male (man) or female (woman) (Genesis 1:26-27), and that as a result of sin, we do not enjoy the life or relationships that God intends for us (optional ital).
-
We believe He established marriage with only one meaning: a life-long covenant between one man and one woman, and that this unique covenantal relationship expresses the mystery of Christ and the Church (Gen 2; Eph. 5). We believe God commanded that no intimate sexual activity occurs outside of the bonds of marriage (1 Corinth. 6-7).
We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography, and attempting to change one’s biological sex or otherwise acting upon disagreement with one’s biological sex) is sinful and offensive to God. (Matt 15:18-20; 1 Cor 6:9-10.)
-
Membership in the family of God and His church is important for fellowship, belonging, encouragement, and accountability (Heb 10:25).

Schedule a SessionWe Value...
-
God's Word: We are committed to honoring the integrity of the 66 Books of the Bible and seek to pursue the authentic interpretations of the Scriptures through the Holy Spirit. We acknowledge that the Scriptures are "useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." (2 Tim 3:16).
-
The Holy Spirit: We rely on the Wonderful Counselor, the Holy Spirit, for insight and revelation of God’s Word, personal conviction, and in understanding and applying Scriptural truths in speaking with those whom we serve.
-
The Church: We acknowledge that many denominations observe different interpretations of various passages of Scriptures. Therefore, we approach counsel without preference to any denominational teaching on topics outside salvation (by faith through grace in Christ), and we recommend that certain topics be discussed with their pastor and research in the Word.Â
We further acknowledge the role of the church community, from Pastoral staff and elders to members and attenders, in discipleship, accountability, spiritual growth, and opportunities for service.
-
The Family: We hold to the traditional biblical understanding that a marriage union is between a man and a woman. As ministers of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18-19), we seek to help couples unite and reconcile when possible.Â
-
Competence: We commit to continued training and competence in Scripture and in the application of Scripture to mental health and relational issues affecting modern society. We recognize that when Scriptures are introduced to our lives and in the lives of those served, it must be done with grace and humility.
